This course is about the principles underlying the police organization and management of the police emphasizing its creation and its historical evolution.
It covers the local creation of policing and the Constitutional mandate, including Republic Act 6975 and Republic Act 8551 together with previous laws and issuances relating thereto. It includes the study of the organizational structure, management, and administration of the Philippine National Police.
It further emphasizes direction, supervision, coordination, and control of all local police as a homogenous body under a single command. It includes the basic management functions applied to the police organization.
